Welcome to Sports Hub. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
- Platform: Sports Hub's apps and website.
- User: anyone who accesses or uses the Platform.
- Organizer: a user who creates activities or events.
- Content: text, images, reviews, data, and other information submitted by users.
2. Eligibility and Registration
To access certain features, users must create an account with accurate and up-to-date information. Use is permitted for individuals 18 years of age or older, or minors with a parent or legal guardian's consent.
3. License to Use
We grant users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms. Reverse engineering, use for unlawful purposes, unauthorized automated scraping, or unauthorized commercial exploitation are prohibited.
4. User Content
Users are responsible for the content they post. By submitting content, you grant Sports Hub a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the Platform. We may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or third-party rights.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
Paid plans, when available, are billed according to the rates listed on the pricing page. Recurring charges renew automatically unless canceled. Cancellation and refund rules are detailed in separate documents.
6. Our Role, Assumption of Risk, and Limitations
Sports Hub acts as a facilitator connecting people and spaces. We do not organize, supervise, verify, or control the activities, venues, equipment, or participants you find through the Platform. We do not conduct background checks on users and do not guarantee the identity, skill level, or conduct of any participant or organizer.
Assumption of risk. You acknowledge that physical activity, sports, and exercise involve inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, illness, and in rare cases, death. By using the Platform to find, join, or organize activities, you voluntarily and knowingly assume all such risks.
Release. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release Sports Hub, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from or related to your participation in activities found through the Platform.
Users are expected to act in good faith, exercise prudence, comply with venue rules, respect other participants, and take personal responsibility for their safety and the safety of those around them.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Discriminatory practices, harassment, violence, or hate speech;
- Fraud, spam, or use of bots to manipulate availability or reviews;
- Posting content that infringes intellectual property, likeness, or privacy rights;
- Any use that compromises the stability of the Platform.
8. Community Guidelines and Trust & Safety
Use of event chat and community spaces must follow our Community Guidelines. Report handling and moderation flows are described in Trust & Safety.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use of the Platform. Total liability, where applicable, is limited to amounts paid in the past 12 months.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. Users may close their account at any time in settings, acknowledging that certain information may be retained for the legally required period.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect product improvements or legal requirements. We will notify users through appropriate channels. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
