Trust & Safety
This page describes how Sports Hub handles harmful behavior in group event chats and how reports are reviewed.
1. Scope
Sports Hub chat is an event-group communication tool. It is moderated and should be used for event coordination. It is not an end-to-end encrypted private messenger.
2. In-app reporting flow
- Users can report messages directly from chat.
- Available reasons include spam, harassment, hate, threats, and other.
- For “other,” users can submit additional context.
3. Host moderation flow
- Event hosts can access a report queue for their event chat.
- Hosts can set report status to reviewing, dismissed, or resolved.
- Hosts can remove reported messages from event chat when needed.
- When a reported message is removed, linked open/reviewing reports may be resolved.
4. User block (in-app)
- Any participant may block another user from event chat.
- After confirmation, messages from the blocked user are hidden immediately for the user who blocked.
- Blocking does not remove the blocked user from the event roster; it affects only what the blocking user sees in chat.
- Sports Hub records block events for platform safety review. For escalation, contact trust@sportshubgo.com.
5. Platform-level enforcement
Sports Hub may apply broader account measures in severe or repeated abuse cases, including temporary restrictions or account suspension/termination.
6. What users should do
- Use report reasons accurately and avoid abusive reporting.
- Do not share sensitive personal information in group chats.
- If there is immediate physical danger, contact local emergency services first.
7. Data and privacy
Report records, block events, and moderation statuses are handled under our Privacy Policy. Access is limited to authorized roles and lawful purposes.
